Acai berries are grown naturally in the Brazilian rain forest, and are actually harvested from the tops of Acai palms. These amazing berries are only found in this area of the world. Local farmers freeze dry the berries and ship them around the world to be added to acai berry supplements. Because acai berries are freeze dried, they keep all of their amazing nutritional value.

Acai berry juice tastes good. A small bottle of the juice will give you an extra boost of energy. It also makes a great snack for when you are on the run. Acai berry does not only help you lose weight because it acts as a natural appetite suppressant, but it also acts to reverse the effects of premature aging and improve the quality of your sleep. People who suffer from insomnia or have the tendency to sleep to much can follow the acai berry diet in order to help them normalize their sleeping habits. Acai berries can help you sleep more soundly and restore the natural rhythm to your rest.

They are a great source of fiber and are known to aid in digestion. They detoxy your body and balance your natural pH level. They fight off free radicals, prevent illness, and strengthen the immune system.

Following the acai berry diet plan will definitely keep you healthy, vital, and slim.

Acai Berry Tablets – Better Than Juice?

Saturday, May 8th, 2010
No doubt you’ve heard the buzz surrounding acai berry tablets and acai berry juice. This popular “superfood” called acai has been featured on Oprah, the Today Show, and several other programs. Acai berries contain a host of nutrients such as antioxidants, fiber, and omega-3, -6, and -9 fatty acids. But which is more beneficial, the capsules or the juice?

From a health standpoint, the pills are probably more beneficial than the juices. Like most fruit juice products, acai berry juice is often sold as a juice blend. MonaVie, for example, is actually a blend of nineteen different fruit juices. Consequently, you don’t really know how much acai you’re getting. Juices also tend to be watered down and may contain added sugar or other undesired ingredients. Be sure to read the labels on all fruit juices, as many of them surprisingly contain very little juice.

By contrast, acai berry tablets are created through a much more precise process that results in a purer product. The acai berries are freeze-dried and then processed into a fine powder that can be encapsulated or compressed into a tablet. However, this powder is not the same as “acai berry powder” that is yet another form of acai. The loose powders that you can buy in bags are made from acai berry extract, not the freeze-dried berries. So if you want to get the most acai for your money, the tablets are the way to go.

Other reasons for choosing tablets over juice include personal preference, budget, and lifestyle. Some people do not like the taste of acai berries, while others just prefer the convenience of taking a pill. Last but not least, acai berry juice is not cheap. A bottle of MonaVie costs almost $40, and it has only enough servings for about one week. At $40 per week, that’s about $173 per month or $2080 per year. Bottles of acai berry tablets vary greatly depending on the manufacturer (be careful — cheaper brands may not contain authentic acai), but the average price per one-month supply is only about $58.  If sparing $2 a day to look and feel great is too much, then acai may not be for you.

Acai Berry Ultimate

Sunday, March 7th, 2010
When purchasing any weight loss product, it is important to do your research. Many people are exchanging their opinions about Acai Berry Ultimate on DietBlogTalk.com

For an additional source, check out Acai Berry Ultimate on the very popular Sensational.com

Overview

Acai Berry Ultimate is yet one more participant in a strange, strange niche market. This supplement, and other products suspiciously similar to it, offer consumers a supposed opportunity to harness the power of the Acai Berry for detoxification and weight loss purposes. There’s one teensy weensy problem, however: Acai Berries aren’t known for their ability to do either of these things. Because of this, we’re nearly convinced that there’s something fishy behind Acai Berry Ultimate and its cronies. Take our word for it, take someone else’s word for it, just don’t take Acai Berry Ultimate.

Ingredients at a Glance

Acai Berry Ulimate apparently contains only Acai Berry Extract. If it contains anything else, the product website sure isn’t doing consumers any favors by way of ingredients disclosure. This alone is enough reason for suspicion, but then again, the whole affair has us on our guard.

Ingredients in Focus

Acai Berries are counted as a superfood because they deliver good fats, protein, fiber, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. This happy combination is good for the body. And so, the berries ought to be considered a legitimate addition to a healthy diet.

But as for detoxification and direct weight loss effectiveness, Acai Berries have little to offer. To the extent that the berries are typically a part of the diets of health-conscious people, they may contribute in a roundabout way to cleansing and weight loss. But as a cleansing and/or weight loss solution on their own, the berries – and so Acai Berry Ultimate – are nothing to write home about.

Positives

•    Acai Berries are delicious and nutritious.

Negatives

•    Acai Berry Ultimate seems like a scam.

•    The product website is basically useless for an educated decision.

•    Acai Berries are neither detoxifiers nor weight loss agents.

Final Thoughts

If consumers find they’re intrigued by the properties of Acai Berries, then all the better. Incorporate them into a balanced diet and compliment that diet with regular exercise and a healthy fat-burning supplement. But as for Acai Berry Ultimate, there seems to be little reason to believe it can achieve anything remotely similar to what the product website claims.

The Acai Berry Diet – Does The Acai Berry Diet Work?

Friday, February 26th, 2010
You must have heard people talk about how the acai berry diet cured their illness.  Everyone has come to know this little berry to be very effective in curing all sorts of sickness.  But do you know what is an Acai Berry?  Don’t you think it’s best that you  get to know what you are taking in?

What is Acai Berry?

The acai berry is a fruit of  Acai palm trees which are mostly found in the Amazon rain forest in countries like Brazil. It is purple in color, and looks a lot like a grape-sized berry.

Many people label it a “superfood” since it is loaded with essential fatty acids, amino acids, and antioxidants by at least 10 to 15x compared to other fruits.  The people living in the Amazon have known this for quite a time already, and in fact is a part of their diet.  Now the rest of the world is just getting to know this tiny “superfood”—a little serving of which brings you an influx of powerful nutrients!

Why Take Acai Berry In Your Diet?

There are a lot of reasons why you would want to take Acai berry.  Here are just a few of them:

Losing Weight – Acai has proved itself to be effective in weight loss, as it burns body fat and can even lessen your appetite.

Healthy Energy – Acai is an excellent energy booster.  It makes you productive as you are more motivated to work out, exercise or do other healthy things.  This “superfood” creates a happy and healthy feeling, which is very good for you.

Stamina – It does not only energize, it gives you the energy you need that will enable you to work out to the next level.  It is a libido-booster!

Heart Health – Acai detoxifies the blood, lowers your cholesterol and lessens cases of heart diseases.

Immune System Health – Aside from the detoxifying effect and your much needed weight loss, Acai strengthens your immune system, protecting your body from diseases, and helps regulate your organs to function normally.

How To Take The Acai Berry Diet?

There are three ways to take the Acai Berry Diet.  One is you may find frozen ones at your health food store, and you can take it in as part of your meal. The second is to take a liquid acai supplement that you drink with a meal. Thirdly, you can take it in in a form of a freeze dried acai berry capsule.

Acai Berry Diet Review – As Seen On Tv With Oprah, Dr Oz And Perricone

Wednesday, January 20th, 2010
Have you been struggling to get an unbiased and truthful acai berry diet review? In that case you’ve found it. This diet that was on the Oprah show on TV featured Dr.Oz and discussed the new book by Dr. Perricone that reveals his choice of Acai berries as the #1 superfood. There are many benefits to this superfood fruit, however there are also some false rumors about it. I plan on dispelling all these and leading you straight to the facts regarding the acai fruit juice diet.

What are the benefits of Drinking Acai juice regularly?

There are many! First of all the omega 3 & 6 content is high relative to its size, so it benefits the cardiovascular system, the digestive system and the skin. Most notably acai contains very high levels of anti-oxidants which are able to help prevent disease and are also very good anti-aging compounds. There are phytosterols which help control the immune system so it can also benefit those who suffer from auto-immune dysfunction and inflammatory diseases such as arthritis and allergies.

It Sound Great so Far so what’s the catch?

Well it all comes down to what you are drinking it for? Do you want to help give your overall health a boost? Then its an excellent choice. However those who have believed it to be an excellent weight loss option have unfortunately been mis-informed. This is because of the Appearance of Dr.Oz on the Oprah show discussing an acai berry cleanse. This involved however a fiber shake that you were to drink with the acai juice. It was this fiber shake that infact stimulates the weight loss.

Conclusion

Acai can absolutely help boost your overall health and it’s a great option for someone who wants it for that reason. However it does not provide supreme weight loss as many are trying to lead you to believe. That’s not to say it couldn’t help with weight loss through its variety of health boosting effects. But to be honest for something that will cost $3-$5 worth per day to add a mild if noticeable at all boost to burning fat there are far better options available.
